Do you have a premmie, sick infant or angel baby and are looking for a way to share your journey with family and friends?

Do you wish for an easier way to not only keep your family up to date with the happenings in the NICU?

Perhaps you’d like to connect with other parents and read of their experiences?

Hi, my name is Fiona Dixon and I gave birth to my second baby Airlie at 27 weeks +5 days gestation due to HELLP Syndrome and Pre Eclampsia. My husband, son and I were due to move from the Central Coast of NSW to Central West NSW when I unexpectedly experienced serious complications during my second trimester. I found it hard to cope with what was happening to my beautiful baby girl and it was really hard to find information and premmie products suitable for Airlie.

Does this sound like you?

It sounds like the many parents of premature, sick and angel babies in any NICU around Australia and around the world. And so that is why I decided to create and build Café Prem.

The best thing you can do is to find out as much information as you can and to connect with other parents. Finding out that you are NOT ALONE can be freeing because you have people who know EXACTLY what it’s like inside a NICU. They know the emotional rollercoaster you are travelling on. And they know how hard it is in the early days and the emotions you go through when your baby doesn’t come home.

So what is Cafe Prem?

Café Prem is a FREE blog designed to help you publish your very own premature baby blog. Cafe Prem isn’t just for parents. It’s for family members, NICU staff, grown premmies and for anyone who has experienced a high-risk pregnancy or spent some time in the NICU with a sick infant.

Here at Café Prem our goal is to give parents and families’ access to fantastic technology to allow them to share their baby’s journal while they are still in the NICU. Share your pictures of your premature baby through your blog and create your very own photo album to share with family and friends.

Sometimes those who are the closest to us have the most trouble understanding our situation and so journaling online can bridge the gap between all of us, particularly with our angel babies.

We know from our time in the NICU that some babies do not come home and that we only have mere moments with them. These moments are priceless and they create a lifetime of memories.

Share your thoughts and feelings and the spirit of your little one with us and join our community!

I look forward to reading your journal..

Fiona xx
